Staying fit is very important. I think children should stay fit, too. There are many ways that you can stay fit. Some ways are fun, and well, some ways are not that fun. You can try just standing in the gym for hours lifting weights, or you could try a very effective and fun way. So, start getting warmed up, because you are in for a ride!
We can start with the simple warm-up fitness test. Follow the following steps:
Do 10 push-ups
Do 20 jumping-jacks
Do 5 burpees
Do 10 crunches
Do 10 squats
Hold 10 seconds of superman
Run around the inside or outside of your house 3 times without stopping
After you do these steps, take a water break. (Tip: remember to take plenty of breaks if you need it, and drink plenty of water!) Then, if you have them, hold a 3 pound weight in each hand, and curl your arms up. Do that motion 10 times, pausing between each curl for about 2 seconds. Remember to smile and breath deeply. You can even make up a dance while ding this! These exercises strengthen your muscles, and gets blood pumping and flowing through your body. Now, again, if you have it, take a fitness band and place it on the middle of your shin, and walk slowly in a circle. This is like a three legged race. You can actually do it in the form of a three legged race! Notice: do not move your shoulders, and keep your torso facing forward. Walk like this for about 1 minute, keeping the correct posture.
For our final exercise, you will need to make a ladder shape across the ground for about 5 feet. If you do not have a fitness ladder, you can make one out of sticks and plywood, or use the sidewalk. Do high-knees through the ladder, but remember, do not cross your feet! Go through the ladder about 4-5 times. Then, have lots of water!
Exercise can come in many forms. You can just walk around your neighborhood, or take a jog. As long as you set aside part of your day for exercising, you should be fit in no time!
