The feeling you get when you know that you have been eating healthy food is great. I have experienced it myself. If you want to eat healthy, you need to know what is good for you and what is not so good for you. Beets, kale, salmon, oranges, chicken, and farro are all great for you! White rice, French fries, hamburgers, and hot dogs are NOT good for you.
You should start by researching what are good and bad foods. You might be excited to start eating right away, but you shouldn't. You need to listen to your body and know when to stop eating. You should definitely stop if your stomach starts to hurt or you feel full. You should actually probably stop before that! If you just listen to your body, you can start eating!
You should only go on a diet if you really need it. Consult with a doctor before starting a diet. You don't need to be on a diet to eat healthy food. You can also start anytime! Though, I would recommend starting at a younger age. That way, it will be easier to stay with eating healthier.
Last thing, you should be sure to balance out the amount of food you eat. Your plate should have protein, fruits, grain, and vegetables. Just be sure to have a balanced diet and you should be fine.
